This game had so much potential! I am always on the lookout for an awesome RPG for the iPhone. Sadly Ill never know if the rest of Rimelands would have been just that for a simple reason: The combat concept.
Im running around and I see an enemy. I want to attack but I cant. Before I can hit I get interrupted by a dice roll... little dice, the sound, the animation. I confirm. My character hits. Only now can my enemy attack... but first, a dice roll! And this goes on for every hit. I cant "just" run away either.
In short, combat takes for ever, is anti-dynamic and kills game flow.
I played for 30min and was forcing myself because the game had looked and sounded so cool! The graphics are nice though a little simple compared to similar games. But what really makes a game awesome is the immersion and for me, being interrupted every 2secs does not allow for that.
